Jeff Weber | Residency at Cité des Arts

We are pleased to announce that Jeff Weber has completed a four-month residency at the Cité internationale des Arts in Paris. 

During his residency in Paris, Jeff Weber sought to develop a photographic and cinematographic research project that brought certain local cultural institutions to light - Musée du Louvre, Musée de Cluny, Musée national du Moyen Âge, among others. As an extension of his ongoing project An Attempt at a Personal Epistemology, he explores the definition of the paradoxical space in which the artist operates, at crossroads between objective knowledge and intimate experience. He calls upon an empirical method that suggests that it is by working the image itself, its material qualities and fabrication via the photographic technique, that ideas crystallise and can be articulated: the image becomes the materialisation of the process of formation.
